The design concept was born out of the desire to create a space that would allow individuals to escape the hustle and bustle of city life and immerse themselves in a serene and comfortable environment. The outdoor architectural design features a two-layered floor-to-ceiling glass wall, sky blue light, and a layer of vertical gauze to create a flowing curtain effect, reminiscent of a waterfall. The interior design, made from brown wood and plain wall color, complements the outdoor architectural design, creating a harmonious blend of natural beauty.
Li Kai Chun's design stands out for its unique approach to integrating natural elements into the interior design. The full high glass wall feature, designed to mimic a waterfall, was created using a white curtain and blue color LED light to give the illusion of water flowing on the glass wall. The reception counter was designed with nickel silver stainless steel and marble, while the walls were adorned with beige color wallcovering and some brown wood pattern. The ceiling was designed with brown wood strip ceiling, adding to the overall natural feel of the design.
The design was realized using LED light bars to create a warm, family feel in the interior. The outdoor full high glass wall used a 3000k sunlight LED light bar to create a waterfall feature, while the interior lighting used a 2700k warm light LED light bar. The result is a space that not only looks natural but also feels warm and inviting.
One of the main challenges faced during the design process was how to effectively convey the nature concept of Tiispa. The designer had to figure out how to design a waterfall effect on the glass wall and how to match the interior wood with a sense of architecture and a natural feeling. However, through careful planning and innovative thinking, these challenges were successfully overcome.
The project, completed in February 2018 in Shenzhen, is a testament to Li Kai Chun's commitment to creating designs that are not only aesthetically pleasing but also functional and meaningful. The design is based on the concept of nature and then enhanced in the details of the layout. The interior layout is very neat and every different function beautician room is simply distributed so there is no need to get lost. The design is a perfect example of how the integration and sharing of life beauty and medical beauty can be achieved.
The design was awarded Silver in A' Lighting Products and Fixtures Design Award in 2019, a testament to its outstanding design and innovation. The award is given to top-of-the-line, creative, and professionally remarkable designs that illustrate outstanding expertise and innovation. These designs, admired for their strong technical characteristics and splendid artistic skill, showcase a remarkable level of excellence and introduce positive feelings, amazement, and wonder.
